Portraits Stories

The portrait photo is perhaps the most intimate thing about it: face to face between photographer and model, and just the camera between them (and the intimidating lights if it's in the studio). Some photographers strafe their model using the "burst" mode, hoping that among the ten or more often the hundred shots obtained, a few will be good. I never use the burst mode: I like to create this intimate atmosphere and wait for the expression I want to capture on the model's face to reveal itself. This is a bit riskier method, because if the model does not adhere to it, or does not feel involved, not much good comes out of it, in the end.

reminder: you can buy photos from this website, as prints, fine art prints, but also as downloadable HR digital files, with an individual or commercial license regarding to what you will do with them.
