An old dream, one I'd had for 10 years: to photograph Muay Thai training sessions.

It was by chance that I found myself at the MBK Center in Bangkok on July 29, 2026. I didn't know they held free fights every last Wednesday of the month, and I was seeing these impressive bouts for the first time.

Unusually for me (I'm a bit shy in these kinds of situations), I approached a boxer who was changing after his match, surrounded by his team and probably some of his family. I introduced myself and asked if they would allow me to be present during one of their training sessions.

The next day, I took these photos with them and many other people, young and old, but all equally impressive and kind: my first "Muay Thai Training Photoshoot."

You'll see many faces, some focused on effort, others smiling. That's precisely what I wanted to capture: the expression of willpower, tenacity, commitment, effort, and suffering in the intensity of these training sessions.
The only thing missing is the sound of the impacts, which is just as impressive!

Thank you to Daniel Win for introducing me to these incredible, respectable, courageous, and kind Thai people.
