Back in Paris after an extraordinary month-plus in Bangkok, I still have a few days of rest left before embarking on the final seven months of my teaching career.
When I look back on the Muay Thai training sessions I had the good fortune and privilege to witness, when I view the photos I am still editing, and when I recall those young athletes giving their all to succeed, I find myself thinking: if only my young French students showed that same determination, courage, fighting spirit, and mutual respect—both among themselves and toward their coaches—then perhaps I would want to keep teaching even after retirement.
I apologize to the athletes and their families who are eagerly awaiting their photos; I am editing them in the order they were taken. There are so many, and it is a lengthy process—one I cannot work on around the clock—but I am continuing to populate the shared Google Drive folders at my own pace.
