Finally! I’ve dreamed of doing this for ages, and I finally got to photograph Muay Thai training sessions. Yesterday, I was at the MBK Center in Bangkok, where Muay Thai competitions were taking place. It was my first time seeing fights "in the flesh," and I found the experience incredibly impressive. There are good things and not-so-good things about Bangkok. Among the good things is the incredible kindness and open-mindedness of the locals.

I took advantage of the window between checking out of my hotel and checking into the new one to fix the site's contact form. It is now fully operational!

We all have our own way of approaching travel. Some, who rarely get the chance to leave, seek out the sun, the sea, or the mountains to rest and recharge.Others crave exoticism, discovery.

I am planning to extend my stay in Bangkok until August 4th.In that case, the street photography offer I mentioned a few days ago will also be extended.

Since I’m (still) in Bangkok right now, I thought it would be a good idea to create a "Bangkok Stories" album...

My friend Myriam, with whom I wander around Bangkok almost every day, isn't yet used to... my habits ;-)She is often ahead of me, and thus within my field of view.

Believe it or not, I’m incredibly shy. But tonight, I plucked up the courage to ask one of the waiters at the Unicorn Bar if he knew anyone who could introduce me to a Muay Thai gym.

Just checking transmissions, from Bangkok :-) The view from my hotel windows gave me the idea to take this photo for my first post back in Thailand. I had a nice "first evening" in China Town area yesterday, guided by my friend Myriam, and I slept so well!

In addition to a few photos of Vietnam featured in the "Vietnam Stories" section, I have just added a new album titled "(In)Communication Stories."

After having dinner this evening with the French-Vietnamese parents of one of my students, I realized that my new site was missing something the old one had: a way to select photos based on the country where they were taken.

Well, I finally managed to launch this site before my departure! Now I just need to get ready for a new adventure in Asia!

I was at a temple in Chengdu when my attention was caught by this kid beating on a drum. It was obvious to me that I had to take a picture of the scene. FR below.

“Dreaming of a Better Life” was taken in Shenzhen, China, and it shows the importance of the “luck” factor in street photography. FR version below.

I was about to photograph the old man on the right, in the photo illustrating this post, from the window of my apartment in the 19th district of Paris when, at the moment of pressing the shutter, the second man appeared in my field of vision.
